FAQ
Questions contractors ask us
Is this a lead list or shared leads?
No. You get live phone calls from homeowners who called the site for your trade in your city, and that line goes to one business only. We don't sell the same call to anyone else.
What does the free trial cost?
Nothing. No card is needed. Calls forward to you for free for at least 7 days, and we only make you a paid offer once your line has had real calls. If 30 days pass with no real calls, the trial simply ends and you owe nothing.
How and when do I pay?
If you want to keep the line after your trial, we email you a secure Stripe payment link. Your card is charged the flat monthly fee on your start date and on the same date each month after that.
How do I cancel?
Reply “cancel” to any of our emails or write to hello@phonesthatring.com. You won't be charged again, and your current paid month runs to its end.
What counts as a real call?
A unique caller in that month whose call rang through to you, and who talked with you for 30 seconds or more (or waited 30+ seconds if you didn't pick up). Spam, sales calls, wrong numbers, job seekers and blocked numbers don't count.
Do you record my calls?
No. We log basic call details (caller number, date, time, length) so we can send your missed-call emails and monthly report, but we never record the conversation.
Will you text me?
Only if you check the optional box on the signup form. Text alerts aren't active yet: they start after carrier (10DLC) approval. Until then, missed-call alerts come by email. Reply STOP to any text to opt out.
Do you need access to my Google profile or ads?
No. We never touch your Google Business Profile, your website or your advertising. The sites are ours and we do the work on them.
I'm a homeowner. Can you fix my problem?
We're not contractors. Our local sites connect you by phone with an independent local business that does the work and sets its own prices.
